Wyly Bigger is a Memphis-based artist and international performer, bringing his music, steeped in the blues and rock n’ roll sounds of Memphis, to stages around the world, from Nashville to New Orleans, Tallahassee to Phoenix, even all the way to Notodden, Norway. In addition to covering blues & rock favorites, Wyly is well practiced in writing his own music, earning himself spot as a finalist for Memphis’s Songwriter of the Year 2021. Currently in the finishing stages, his upcoming album Broken Telephone, produced by Memphis songwriting great Mark Edgar Stuart, will showcase a new collection of original tunes and is set to be released in 2024.
Wyly discovered his love of music at an early age. At age four, he began teaching himself melodies on the piano by ear. He started taking lessons the same year and began developing his skills and his sound. His first gig came at the age of nine when he started playing frequently at his local hometown diner in Arkansas. From there he expanded his reach across the river to Memphis and down Highway 61 to the Mississippi Delta, where he got even further connected with the blues. It was during his late teens that he began to write his own music, a practice he continues to hone.
Now in his mid-20s, Wyly has performed at venues around the world. From dive bars and juke joints to international blues festivals and NBA halftime performances, he has brought his passion for music to countless renowned stages.
