Charlie Halloran grew up in St. Louis, received a masters in trombone at the Eastman School of Music, and learned trampagne in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2009 he was pulled off of a Mardi Gras float by the Squirrel Nut Zippers, with whom he travelled to parts unknown for the better part of a decade. Named to Downbeat Magazine's 2017 and 2013 Rising Stars, and one of Offbeat Magazine's best trombonists in both 2016 and 2014, Charlie keeps a busy schedule home in New Orleans, performing regularly with Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns, the Palmetto Bug Stompers, the Panorama Jazz Band and the Shotgun Jazz Band.
